After a lot of online research, I found Vietnam an affordable option to go on a solo travel. Hence, I considered the capital of Vietnam, Hanoi to visit.
The beautifully decorated streets, the people, and the vibrant atmosphere felt outworldly. I wanted to explore everything I could till my time in Hanoi.
Old Quarters is the hub of backpackers and budget travelers with affordable hostel options. It's a fun location to stay & explore—narrow and chaotic lanes are very impressive.
Almost everyone I asked on the streets had only non-veg menus. But if you're a vegetarian, don't worry—you just need to search a bit. Veg food is available but limited options.
Exploring Vietnam streets should be on your list, and visiting nearby places such as Ninh Binh, and experiencing Lan Ha Bay Cruise Tour will surely leave you awestruck.
Hanoi’s Beer Street comes alive at night. Locals and tourists sit on small stools with tables placed right on the road. The whole street turns into an open-air party, with food, drinks & music.
Firstly, in Hanoi, use Google Translate to talk with locals. Secondly, the roads are packed with scooters—cross confidently, they’ll move around you.
I visited Hanoi during the Lunar New Year—it was a time full of joy and celebration. You could see the happiness on people’s faces as they welcomed the new year.
